TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CIMB RM200 Home Financing Cash Rebate Campaign
The CIMB Home Financing RM200 Cash Rebate Campaign (“Campaign”) is jointly organized by CIMB
Bank Berhad (197201001799 (13491-P)) and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (200401032872 (671380-H))
shall herein collectively be referred to as (“CIMB”) and collaboration with Hi Home dotcom Sdn Bhd
(1167537-X) which referred as (“Hi Home”).
Eligibility
1. This Campaign is open to the first 100 customers, who has purchased the voucher from Hi Home’s
Property Expo in Lazada between 7th July - 9th July 2020 that meets the following criteria:
(i)
Individuals customers who are of eighteen (18) years old and above; and
(ii)
Malaysian citizen with MyKad holder
During the campaign period (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Eligible Customer(s)”, subject to
the terms and conditions stated herein including but not limited to meeting all financing package
requirement under Conventional or Islamic Home Financing (“Eligible Home Financing”).
2. The following individuals/entities shall be excluded and shall NOT be eligible to participate in this
Campaign: -
a. Small medium enterprise/enterprise banking/commercial and corporate customers as
determined by CIMB which may include but not limited to sole proprietorships, partnerships,
public listed companies, private limited companies, charitable/non-profit organization,
societies and professional partnerships; and/or
b. Individuals below the age of eighteen (18) years old at the time of their participation in this
Campaign.
c. Borrower/Customer(s) who is (are) in default of any facility granted by CIMB, its subsidiaries
and/or affiliates at any time during the Campaign Period, subject to CIMB’s discretion.
Campaign Period
3. The Campaign shall commence on 7th July 2020 and end on 15th October 2020 (“Campaign Period”)
of which, Eligible Customers will need to:
(i)
Sign up for any CIMB Home Financing package between 7th July 2020 until 30th September
2020; and
(ii)
Accept the CIMB Home Financing before 15th October 2020.
(iii)
Execute or sign Facility Agreement (FA) for the said CIMB Home Financing before 15th
October 2020.
4. CIMB reserves the right upon giving notice of not less than fourteen (14) calendar days to change the
duration, commencement and / or expiry dates of the Campaign Period.
Campaign Mechanics
5.
To participate in this Campaign, Eligible Customer(s) will be required to:
(i)
Purchase a Hi Home Property Expo voucher from Lazada between 7th July 2020 - 9th July
2020;
(ii)
Place a booking with the developer within the 30 days’ validity period as stipulated in Hi
Home’s Property Expo terms and conditions. ;
(iii)
Sign up for CIMB’s Eligible Home Financing between 7th July 2020 - 30th September 2020.
(iv)
Accept the Eligible Home Financing offered from CIMB before 15th October 2020.
(v)
Execute or sign Facility Agreement (FA) for the said CIMB Home Financing before 15th
October 2020.
6.
Subject to the terms and conditions herein, the Eligible Customer(s) who have fulfilled the criteria in
Clause 5 above shall be entitled for RM200 cash rebate which will be credited into the Eligible
Customer(s) Eligible Home Financing account.
7.
The Eligible Customer’s Eligible Home Financing account must be in good standings throughout the
Campaign Period until the date of crediting the cash rebate into his/her respective Eligible Home
Financing account in order to be entitled for the cash rebate stipulated in Clause 6.
8.
For the avoidance of doubt, in the case of joint applications for an Eligible Home Financing account,
Eligible Customer are only entitled to one (1) RM200 cash rebate throughout the whole Campaign
Period.
9.
All Eligible Home Financing submissions during the Campaign Period is strictly subjected to CIMB’s
internal credit underwriting policies and applicable for selected projects by Hi Home.
Campaign Fulfillment
10. Any determination by CIMB on the cash rebate shall be conclusive and shall not be challenged by
the Eligible Customers in any manner whatsoever, save for manifest error. The cash rebate cannot
be exchanged for a different prize or reward of similar value or any other alternatives in any
circumstances.
11. Subject to Clause 10 of these terms and condition, the RM200 cash rebate shall be credited into the
Eligible Customer’s Eligible Home Financing account within twelve (12) weeks from the end of the
Campaign Period (“Fulfilment Period”) and will be used for the purpose of reducing Eligible
Customer’s overall outstanding balance. The Eligible Customer should notify CIMB within eight (8)
weeks from the Fulfilment Period (“Specified Period”) if the cash rebate was not credited. If the
Eligible Customer do not notify CIMB within the Specified Period, the cash rebate will be
considered as successfully credited.
12. At the time of the receipt of cash rebate by the Eligible Customer, the Eligible Home Financing
account MUST NOT be delinquent, and/or be invalid or cancelled within CIMB’s definition,
otherwise the Eligible Customer will be disqualified from participating or from receiving the cash
rebate
13. The Eligible Customer who are entitled to receive the cash rebate shall receive a notification via
SMS from CIMB that the cash rebate has been credited to his/her respective Eligible Home
Financing account.
14. The Eligible Customer shall be responsible to ensure that their telephone numbers and/or email
address and/or mailing address provided are current and updated with CIMB. The notification by
CIMB will be based on the Eligible Customer’s telephone number in Malaysia maintained with
CIMB.
15. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CIMB expressly excludes and disclaims any representations,
warranties or endorsement, implied or express, written or oral, of all cash rebate and will not
assume any responsibility for the cash rebate offered under this Campaign.
16. By acceptance or receipt of the cash rebate, the Eligible Customer agree to hold harmless CIMB and
its affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any
claim, action, proceeding, judgment, damage, loss, expense or liability suffered by CIMB and its
affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents in connection with such
Eligible Customer participation in the Campaign or receipt, redemption or use of the cash back. All
risks, loss or damage associated with the use of the cash rebate shall be assumed by the Eligible
Customers.
17. CIMB accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the cash rebate or the
use thereof. Any tax filing obligation or any tax payment due to any authority as a result of receipt
of the cash back remains the sole responsibility of the Eligible Customer. It is the responsibility of
each Campaign Winner to seek independent advice on the possible implications this may have on
his/her own financial situation.
18. Decision of CIMB in relation to every aspect of the Campaign shall be final, binding and conclusive
provided always that the decision made is fairly and reasonably made.
General Terms & Conditions
1. By participating in this Campaign, the Approved Eligible Customers are deemed to have read,
understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions as well as consented to CIMB
processing and disclosing their personal data in accordance with the CIMB Group Privacy Notice
which can be found at www.cimb.com.my and agree that all decisions fairly and reasonably made
by CIMB in relation to every aspect of this Campaign, including the Reward to be given away and
the determination of the Eligible Customers, shall be final, binding and conclusive.
2. The Approved and Accepted Eligible Customers (s)’ for this Campaign and /or signed up Eligible
products (i) MUST not be in breach of the terms and conditions governing Mortgage financing
AND (ii) MUST not be terminated or closed or be made subject to any attachment, adverse orders
made by the Court or any authorities sanctioned by laws, delinquent, and/ or be invalid or
cancelled as determined by CIMB during the Campaign Period and/or before the crediting of the
Reward, otherwise the Approved Eligible Customer(s) will be disqualified from participating in this
campaign and/or the Reward will be forfeited.

CIMB reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any Approved and Accepted Eligible
Customers that it determines to be tampering with the entry process, or to be acting in breach or
potential breach of these Terms and Conditions.
4.
CIMB reserves the right to substitute the Reward with other item(s) of similar cost and/or to
extend, shorten, discontinue, cancel, terminate or suspend this Campaign by giving fourteen (14)
calendar days’ prior notice to the pproved and Accepted Eligible Customers. For the avoidance
of doubt, any extension, shortening, discontinuance, cancellation, termination or suspension of
this Campaign by CIMB shall not entitle any of the Approved and Accepted Eligible Customers or
any other persons whosoever to any claim or compensation against CIMB for any losses or
damages suffered or incurred by the Approved and Accepted Eligible Customers as a direct or
indirect result of the act of extension, shortening, discontinuance, cancellation, termination or
suspension of this Campaign.
5.
By participating in this Campaign, the Approved and Accepted Eligible Customers hereby agree
that CIMB shall not in any manner whatsoever be liable or held responsible to the Approved and
Accepted Eligible Customers if CIMB is unable to perform in whole or in part of any of its
obligations herein, attributable directly or indirectly to the failure of any mechanical or electronic
device, data processing system, transmission line, electrical failure, industrial dispute, war, strike,
riot, any act of God beyond CIMB's control or due to any factor in a nature of a force majeure
which is beyond CIMB’s reasonable control.
6.
CIMB shall not be liable to any Approved and Accepted Eligible Customers or any party for any
loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered (including but not limited to, loss of income, profits
or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages
of any party) howsoever arising, in relation to the participation or non-participation in this
Campaign including arising from any non-receipt or delayed receipt by the Approved and
Accepted Eligible Customers of the Short Message Service (“SMS”) unless the same shall arise
from and are caused directly by CIMB’s gross negligence or willful default.
7.
CIMB reserves the right upon giving prior notice of twenty one (21) calendar days to vary (whether
by addition, deletion, modification, amendment or otherwise howsoever) (“Amendment”) any of
the Terms and Conditions herein. Notification to Eligible Customers in respect of the Amendment
shall be effected at CIMB’s absolute discretion through any one of the following means of
communication, namely, via electronic communication display at CIMB’s website and CIMB’s
branches or CIMB’s Currency Exchange counters where detail provisions regarding the
Amendment may be provided in the notice itself or may be provided to the Eligible Customers
upon request; or by effecting an advertisement regarding the Amendment in one newspaper of
CIMB’s choice or by any other means of notification which CIMB may select and the mendment
shall be deemed as binding on the Eligible Customers as from the date of notification of the
Amendment or from such other date as may be specified by CIMB in the notification. Eligible
Customers acknowledge and agree to access CIMB’s website at regular intervals to view the terms
and conditions of the Campaign and to ensure that they are kept up-todate with any changes or
variations to these terms and conditions.
8. No compensation in cash or any kind shall be given to the Approved and Accepted Eligible
Customers for any losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Approved and Accepted Eligible
Customers as a direct or an indirect result of such amendment, variation, deletion, addition or
alteration of the Terms and Conditions herein.
9. These Terms and Conditions (as amended from time to time pursuant to Clause 1 until Clause 8
above) shall prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any other Promotional
materials advertising this Campaign. These Terms and Conditions are to be read in conjunction
with the prevailing terms and conditions of the Campaign and terms and conditions governing
Mortgage Financing which shall apply in addition to the Terms and Conditions herein.
10. These Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the application of any prevailing laws, guidelines,
directives, notices, regulations enacted and/or any other written laws or which are issued by Bank
Negara Malaysia or any other body having supervisory authority over the Bank in relation to or
which are applicable to the Campaign or any matters herein.
